Detailed Description of Program

The It’s Our Water! Project is a North Carolina specific, educational tool about water quality that is available free of charge to all the state's high school level earth/environmental science teachers and environmental educators. This tool creates a better understanding for students regarding water quality and quantity. It is aligned with the state Earth/Environmental Science curriculum. It emphasizes that water is important, why it is important, and, through the introduction of the concept of non-point source pollution, how every individual has an impact on our water resources. The tool consists of a combination of video, hands on classroom and field activities, and teacher guides.

SIGN UP FOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER TRAINING. Five videos on a DVD, the North Carolina "It's Our Water" teacher guide, Project WET and Healthy Water/Healthy People teacher guides will be provided to teachers for a $25.00 workshop fee once they have completed the 8 hours training workshop.
